Hello! My name is Chestnut! I am a 2 year old, 8 pound, male, papillon mix. I am a super sweet, spunky, and active boy. I love toys and blankets. You can usually find me nursing on blankets or running around with my toys. When I'm not by myself, I'm probably looking for someone to cuddle with. I'm always trying to give people lots of kisses. I try my best to be obedient, I even know how to sit! I am pretty finicky so I would do best in a home with no young kids. But I get along with other dogs and would probably be fine with cats. Come check out this nutty boy! Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
