Chestnut A171925 32 lb. neutered male, approx 1 1/2 years old -This handsome boy is oh so sweet but is very shy -He's slightly nervous on leash walks...mostly with going through doorways He doesn't pull though. -Inside he went straight to the blankets and laid down. Army crawls around most of the time. -Likes treats and takes them gently -He enjoys pets but it takes him awhile to be comfortable -He did crawl over and put his head on my lap at one point. He's trying! -He is treat motivated and takes them nicely -He's curious of toys but doesn't seem to understand them -It seems like he wants to roll over for belly rubs but hasn't got there yet -He's a sweet boy who needs time and patience to come out of his shell -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
