Chewy is an adorable and playful 4-month-old puppy looking for her forever family. Her journey began with a tough start, given away far too young in front of a convenience store in Fresno. Thankfully, a kindhearted person stepped in to ensure Chewy and her siblings stayed safe with their mama. Now thriving in foster care in the Bay Area, Chewy is ready to find a loving home where she can grow and thrive.
This sweet, likely Shih Tzu-dachshund mix currently weighs about 6 pounds and is expected to grow to 14 pounds or less, just like her mama, a dachshund Chiweenie. Chewy has a scruffy golden coat, accented by a darker, expressive face and the cutest oversized “helicopter” ears, giving her a one-of-a-kind look. Her low-shed coat will appreciate regular brushing to maintain its charm.
Personality & Looks:
Chewy is full of personality, just like her name suggests! She’s an affectionate, lively pup who loves to play, explore, and cuddle up when the day winds down. Her curious nature and cheerful disposition make her the life of the party. Chewy is dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly, making her an excellent addition to all types of families.
Chewy is almost ready to begin formal training and will thrive in a home that provides structure, time, and lots of opportunities for fun and adventure. She’s happiest with another dog in the home to be her playmate and help her learn—she loves having a furry companion to share her days with.

All our dogs undergo comprehensive vetting, including spaying/neutering, microchipping, DHPP, flea treatment, deworming, and Rabies vaccinations. Additional vet care is provided as needed based on their requirements. The adoption fee for this dog is $550 serving as a non-refundable donation. Adoption fees may vary based on factors such as vetting costs, transport, and age.
