My Story

Meet Chicken Biscuit—a 32 lb mix of Labrador Retriever and Rat Terrier, but 100% pure comfort food for the soul! This girl is the perfect combo of crispy energy and warm, gooey cuddles. Whether she’s pretending to be the fastest snack on four legs with her zoomies in the yard or transforming into a fluffy, love-soaked blanket thief on the couch, Chicken Biscuit knows how to keep life deliciously fun. She’s a certified cuddle chef who can whip up a cozy snuggle on the sofa or in bed faster than you can say “extra gravy, please!” But don’t let that soft side fool you—when she’s outside, this Biscuit’s got SPICE! She’s all about chasing sunbeams, playing tag, and making sure every squirrel in the neighborhood knows she’s the boss. Chicken Biscuit is the friendliest snack pack you’ll ever meet—dog-friendly, cat-certified, and an absolute sweetheart. Kids, as soon as she knows they’re nice…she’ll be their best cuddle buddy! If you’re craving a dash of cuddles, a sprinkle of playtime, and a whole heap of hilarity, Chicken Biscuit is the perfect recipe for a happier home. Adopt her, and you’ll never be hungry for love again! PLEASE READ BELOW: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match! **Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
