Chico - deaf and dapper!

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Thank you!** Meet Chico - a 1.5 year old, Boxer / Bull Terrier mix, who weighs 61 pounds (as of 9/3/25). According to his records, this boy was born on 5/7/23. Chico is a special boy who is deaf but is an absolute delight! He was surrendered to us by his previous owner who could no longer afford to properly care for him. This was an incredibly difficult decision for her because she loves this sweet boy dearly. His previous owner has had Chico since he was a pup, and she has worked with him on hand signals to help with communication! His foster shares: "Chico is such a love bug and loves to cuddle with his humans on the couch or bed. He is trained to use pee pads indoors and knows basic commands through hand signals. Despite his handicap, he doesn't let his deafness slow him down. He is a happy boy who gets excited when he sees dogs in the neighborhood. He is very friendly and can't wait to find someone who will love him unconditionally!" All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
