Hi, my name is Chongo! I'm a GREEN pawprint, which means I will fit well into most homes. Here is what would work best for me in my new home: -Personality: Mellow, affectionate, friendly -Can Live with Kids: -Can Live with Cats: Yes, lived successfully with cats in his previous home. Will need slow, supervised intro to any new cats to ensure everyone gets along! -Can Live with Dogs: Yes, another dog of similar size/energy level should be fine. No rough/rowdy young dogs, please! -Can do Apartment Living: Yes -Potty Trained: Yes -Bite History: No -Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No -Energy Level: Low -Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No -Additional Information: CERTIFIED GOOD BOI ALERT!! Chongo is a sweet and social senior dog looking for a nice spot to retire. He is well-mannered, easy-going, and will likely be a great fit for most households. Mr. Chongo has quickly risen the ranks to become a staff favorite here at the shelter, and though we are sad to see him go, we know he's going to make someone very happy! Chongo's previous owner did let us know he has a history of epilepsy/seizures. He was seen by a veterinarian for this issue years ago, but treatment for his epilepsy was not consistent. We have not seen Chongo have any seizures while in our care, but this is a condition that is lifelong and may require vet care/treatment. Chongo's potential adopters will need to be able and willing to provide the care Chongo needs if this issue persists in his new home.
