My Story

HARD TO IMAGINE SOMEONE THREW THIS AMAZING GIRL AWAY. Chrissy is a purebred Doberman Pinscher and she exudes every good trait about this breed. She is elegant, athletic, gentle, calm, kind, intelligent, loving, loyal and uses her big, scary bark, only when needed, She is also great on a leash, a fantastic traveler, confident and secure in new situations, good with children, cats and other dogs, has been around horses and pretty much ignored them. She has great recall, loves gentle affection and snuggles, would be happy to sleep next to you at night, by or even on your bed, is treat motivated but takes them gently, is young at around 18 months of age, has already had a litter of pups and would make an amazing addition to a dog loving family who would include her on family adventures, both at home and out in the world. We can also see Chrissy making an excellent therapy dog, bringing smiles to senior living homes or children's hospitals, due to her gentle and polite nature and natural affection for humans. Chrissy was abandoned out in the country, like so many dogs these days, with a German Shepherd friend. It was obvious she had been a momma, as her teats were cracked, bleeding and infected, evidence of a litter, left on her far too long. She adapted to a kinder way of living quickly and has never looked back. At his point in time, she is not yet showing the protective nature of her breed, but we believe that will come with age and maturity. We have no doubt, given her intelligence, that she will be smart about her protective genetics as a good Doberman should be. She currently weighs around 75lbs and is in excellent health. Her coat is sleek and shiny, her eyes bright and brimming with intelligence, her teats are healed up and all her worming medicines taken (she had giardia at intake) She has natural ears and a docked tail and moves with the grace and elegance of the breed. Being graceful and athletic, a good fence will be needed. She can easily clear a four and a half footer, if she is so inclined but the six footers, kept her put. If you would like to be considered for this beautiful girl, with brains and a huge loving, loyal heart, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and fill out the application. With approval, we will arrange for you to come and meet her and hopefully, make a lifetime love connection. Chrissy is spayed, up to date on five way and rabies vaccinations, is flea/tick free, has been treated for intestinal parasites and is microchipped. All she needs now, is a person or family, to appreciate her, love her and never let her go.
