Meet Cinco - The Resilient Cattle Dog Looking for His Forever Home! (and CAT FRIENDLY) Cinco is a 4-year-old neutered male cattle dog who has faced more challenges in his short life than most dogs ever will. As a puppy, he endured a broken ankle (likely from being hit by a car when he was a stray) and even suffered the trauma of being shot with a BB gun. While he may still have some BBs in his hind leg, Cinco doesn't let his past hold him back – he’s an incredibly resilient, loving dog who is ready for a fresh start! Cinco is as smart as they come. He’s around 50 pounds of pure intelligence, and he knows many commands such as sit, down, stay, and roll over. He's house-trained and crate-trained, and in fact, he LOVES his crate! When bedtime comes around, just tell Cinco to go to bed, and he’ll happily head into his crate for a peaceful rest. Though Cinco has a lot to offer, he would do best in a home without toddlers. His herding instincts can make him anxious around small children, and while he’s received training to help with this, a calm environment with older kids or adults would be ideal for him. Cinco is an easy-going companion that is dog and cat friendly. He is a lovely dog when he’s comfortable in his surroundings and would thrive with someone who appreciates his smarts and sweet nature. Though Cinco may favor his leg after a lot of running, it doesn't stop him from enjoying life. He’s playful, affectionate, and well-behaved – he doesn’t need to be crated when left alone at home, and he’s always ready for a fun adventure with you.
