Reason for Foster: Evan's Disease Foster Time Frame: 2-3 Weeks Foster Care Plan: Cinnamon is suspected to have Evans disease. This is an immune system related disease that causes anemia and her immune system to attack and destroy it's own platelets. She will go home with medication and will have rechecks with the medical team. Her foster should monitor her closely for bleeding and bruising and immediately alert the foster team if noticed. We will provide a medical consultation at her pickup appointment, so you are well informed and prepared to confidently care for this sweet girl. Foster to Adopt: Cinnamon is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
