If this guy doesn't tug at your heartstrings, we're not sure what will! CK was originally found as a stray and brought to one of Gigi's shelter partners, however it was quickly determined he had some severe medical issues that needed addressing right away. The amazing medical team at Gigi's determined his eyes were beyond saving due to extreme cataracts and he had a bum leg that needed amputated. CK has undergone surgeries to help him feel better and increase his longevity; both his eyes and right hind leg were removed. He is recovering and adjusting to his new body. CK is social with people and loves, loves, loves food. Dogs that have gone blind are able to navigate through life pretty well with an understanding family that is there to help them, and dogs on three legs get around extremely well and go on to live long, normal lives. CK will do best with a family that can give him routine and structure. He expressed his disapproval of cats while in the previous shelter, so we recommend a home without small animals. Gradual introductions to calmer, social dogs is also recommended. Want to wear a superhero cape and be CK's savior, then don't hesitate to meet him! CK is a small mixed breed dog, approximately 3 years young, and currently weighs around 17 pounds.
