Recently rescued from a shelter down South, Clay has made his way to Maine in hopes of finding his forever family. And let us tell you, he's thriving in his foster home! With a little time and patience, Clay warms up and loves to snuggle with his humans. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with at least one other dog. He prefers to take his days easy, whether he's sunbathing on his dog bed, or hanging back on his favorite spot on the couch--he's got a laid back personality that anyone would fall in love with. Clay is a true Southern gentleman at heart, and let's be honest—this chilly New England weather isn’t quite his cup of tea! While he may not be a fan of going outside just yet, he’s looking for a patient and understanding forever home where he can take his time adjusting. For now, potty pads can be a great solution as he learns to navigate his new environment. With a little love and encouragement, Clay is steadily gaining confidence and will thrive in a warm, cozy space where he feels safe and secure.
