Hi. My name is Coco and I am a 6 year old Shih Tzu (or mix) and the sweetest dog you have ever met. I am housebroken and crate trained. I will need grooming throughout my life but I am small so easy to care for.
I like to go for walks, have a good appetite and love to be with my people. I have just had a dental and no longer have ANY teeth. So the picket fence grin is gone but I still can eat, even kibble. It helps to have it moistened a little and maybe some soft canned food mixed in.
I love to go for car rides and will settle in to my car seat and just go to sleep. I would probably be a great RV traveler.
I have a foster buddy at present and after just a couple of days, we were playing. He is twice as big as me but since we are the same height neither of us is aware of the discrepancy. I only weigh 12 lb. Before the other dog arrived I liked to sleep in the people bed but since Scooby likes to sleep next to the hooman, sometimes I choose to sleep at the foot of the bed or on a doggy bed in the bedroom.
When I need to go outside to potty I touch my hooman with my nose, it is very subtle. I can hold my bladder a long time, throughout the night and easily 4+ hours during the day. I will usually potty on walks.
My hooman says I might be the easiest dog she has fostered and she has fostered a lot of em. I probably would be okay with cats but there are none here. I get along with all sizes of dogs. I rarely bark and when I do it is very quiet. Just some "boofs". I have some skin allergy issues and need to be on a prescription diet for the rest of my life but otherwise I am in excellent health. I am looking for a quiet home with probably retired people.
Are you my new hooman? Let's find out. Fill out an application for me at https://alternativehumanesociety.com/statement-of-interest-dog/
