Good with dogs: Yes, as always, slow introductions when bringing a new dog into your pack. Good with cats: We haven’t cat-tested him yet but will for the right adopter! Good with kids: Yes. As always adult supervision is always required when kids are present! Older kids may be best for hm as she has a fair amount of energy! House trained: Yes, he will just need to adjust to your routine! Crate trained: Yes! Please Note: We are quick (usually 3-5 days to be fully approved!) to respond to applications and complete the adoption approval process. Colby is a 10-month-old Catahoula Setter mix with a beautiful white and red-sprinkled coat that weighs about 50 pounds. He a super sweet, happy, and energetic pup. Colby was facing surrender to a high-kill GA shelter due to no fault of his own when we rescued him. Colby loves to play and run and is picking up commands very quickly. He also loves to fetch. He is crate trained and friendly with other dogs after a slow, careful introduction (as with any new dog!). Colby is neutered and has had rabies, complete puppy series, and Bordetella vaccines. He is current on Simparica Trio. All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their fur-ever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non-family personal references, a home video tour, and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send a video to our email or Facebook upon submitting an application; this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering?
