My Story

Meet Cowboy, a one-year-old pittie mix with a heart full of love and more energy than he knows what to do with! This rambunctious, playful boy absolutely adores his toys and balls—he’ll keep you entertained for hours with his antics. Cowboy is both dog and cat friendly, but his high energy levels can sometimes be a bit much for more laid-back pets. He would thrive as a single dog or with a non-reactive, playful companion who can match his fun-loving nature. Cowboy is still learning his manners—he can be a little bouncy during playtime—but he’s already made incredible progress with consistent redirection. Don’t let his zoomies fool you, though, because once he’s had his fill of play, Cowboy loves nothing more than snuggling up on the couch or in bed for some well-deserved cuddles. Cowboy is an overgrown pocket pittie who just melts when you rub his ears, and he’s a true couch potato at heart. He’s crate trained, house trained, and dog door trained, and he sleeps in the bed with his humans at night. Cowboy thrives with an active family who can keep up with his energy, and he’ll do best in a home where someone works from home, as he does have some separation anxiety. That said, he’s fine being left alone for a few hours when needed. One of his favorite things in the world is going for car rides—he’ll happily tag along wherever you’re headed. Cowboy started out malnourished and skinny as a puppy. After months in foster care, he’s filled out into a healthy, happy boy, but he’s been passed between foster homes and is more than ready for the stability of a forever home. Cowboy has so much potential, and with a loving family, his personality will truly shine. He’s located in a foster home in Texas and would do best in a home with older kids who can enjoy his playful spirit. Cowboy is fully vaccinated, neutered, and ready to find the family who will love him for life! If you are interested in adopting, please complete our application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57167/generic **The animal you are applying for is posted to Petfinder as a courtesy to their owner or foster. The adoption process will be managed by them. All adoption fees, transport fees, and contracts will be discussed at that time.
