When you meet Creed, get ready to giggle. His silly ears-with one up and one down along with his freckled nose - always bring a smile to everyone's face. And his personality? Absolutely charming! This sweet boy is so lovable and has quickly won the hearts of all the staff and volunteers. It's hard to believe he was ever a stray!
In his foster home, Creed has been sleeping through the night without a peep, leading us to believe he is crate trained. Even though he was found as a stray, he behaves like he's lived in a home before. He's incredibly well-mannered, and he does not jump on furniture, but has been allowed to sit on the couch with his foster mom at night, but gets down when it is time for bed. Creed also LOVES to cuddle and is his most content when he has his head in your lap. He has been doing well with crate training, but I do believe he still needs supervision if left outside of the crate alone.
Creed is a very good listener and rarely barks. He has adjusted well to apartment life and the sounds of the city, never bothered by sirens, helicopters, and even the very loud garbage trucks. He takes bathroom breaks like clockwork every few hours. We believe he's house-trained too, as there have been no accidents inside, and he always waits to go outside. He also knows the commands "sit", "stay" and "release" when he gets his meals, and even gives high fives!
On walks, Creed is a dream! He stays right beside you on the leash, never pulling or showing signs of aggression when passing other dogs, both large and small. He is also very interested in people, especially if they want to pet him... and he loves the attention. We have not directly interacted with children, but he has not shown any signs of aggression towards anything.
His foster mom is a student and works part-time from home, so Creed quietly sits by her during that time. As long as there is a blanket on the floor, Creed will burrow and make it a comfy bed. And despite a bit of initial hesitation, he quickly got over his fear of the elevator, showing just how brave and adaptable he is. He loves to follow his foster mom around and watch her cook dinner. He is such a curious boy but never begs for food, he will just watch you.
Creed would do well with or without another dog in the home. If there is another dog, it would be best if they are still on the younger, more playful side as Creed loves to play with other dogs.
Creed is loyal, affectionate, and gentle, always excited to see you. If you need a brave, loving, and waggy funster in your life, meet Creed today and be the answer to his prayers
