Meet CUDDLES! The name suits, this sweet pup who LOVES to cuddle with her human. Cuddles is an adorable 2 year old, 11.5 pound female Chihuahua! This pint-sized cream colored gal, with tan ear, is sweet, lovable and a champion tall-wagger. She is happy to meet people (of all ages) and does fine with both dogs (of all sizes) and cats. She still has that puppy playfulness at times but also has adjusted quickly and well to home living. Poor Cuddles (a recent Mom) was dumped out of a car (without puppies) in the December cold, which fortunately was observed by a compassionate high school kid who picked her up and called animal control to get her from him! The overcapacity North Carolina shelter made an urgent plea; a local rescue partner got her out of the shelter and contacted us about this sweet gal. We were able to bring this extremely sweet dog into PetConnect when a great foster offered to let her hang out. Cuddles is very happy to now be in the DC area to find a forever family that will give her the attention that she deserves and never abandon dump her on the side of the road! Cuddles would love to curl up with you to hang out on a cold winter night; she loves to cuddle and get pets! She would be an excellent new member of the family! Cuddles will be spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find a family to love! ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving applicants is a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Cuddles is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.
