D.D.

D.D. Was found in a ditch next to her best friend who had been hit by a car and left for suffering. We saw DD peep her head up from the ditch and stopped to check on her when we noticed her friend couldn’t move and had blood on her face and back end. We went to pick her up and take her to the vet to be checked out and knew she had a broken back immediately and was in excruciating pain. DD was so excited to get help she loaded up in the car and sat and comforted her best friend. Once at the vet we checked for a chip and contacted the owners and they said they didn’t want either dog anymore and didn’t care what happened. Unfortunately we had to end the other dogs suffering she was paralyzed, in shock, and already cold with the broken back. We allowed DD to stay in the room while we said our goodbyes. DD is a very smart and beautiful soul who needs a family as loyal as she is.
