My Story

***Fenced Yard Required for All Dogs*** Please Note - Daario is being cared for by Fayette County Animal Rescue in Rossville, TN. Adopter's Costs: Adoption Fee $95.00 Transport Fee $165.00 Health Certificate $25.00 For videos of our adoptable animals, check out our YouTube channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCeG4XqjKtZFAYVM6EFV4FRQ Are you looking for a creative, quirky, and overall loving dog to join your family? Well look no further, because we’ve got the dog for you! Daario is a connoisseur of the arts. His favorite movie is the 1965 classic The Sound of Music. He cites this film as his creative awakening. Inspired by the angelic voice of Julie Andrews, Daario has become a great artist! He loves to “transform” his toys by turning them inside out. They’re honestly much better that way! This quirky dog is full of personality and will surely keep you smiling. From sleeping with his head hanging off his doggy bed to “transforming” his toys, Daario certainly has his own silly ways of doing things! Daario knows how to have fun, but he also appreciates the quieter moments in life. During his time at his foster home, temperatures plummeted, and the snow kept everyone home. Daario was the perfect cabin companion to his foster fam and was happy to snuggle up on the couch under blankets with them. On cold days Daario is content to stay inside and veg out rather than stick his paws in the snow. Daario recently stayed at a foster home for a while. His foster family had nothing but positive things to say about him. During this time Daario proved himself to be a smart, quick learning boy. Due to his past as an outside dog Daario wasn’t house trained as a puppy. During his time at his foster home Daario was housetrained, crate trained, and he even learned how to sit and shake hands. Who says you can’t teach a grown dog new tricks! FOSTER UPDATE!!! *Tell us about a time that made you smile or when they did something cute or heartwarming. He loves to sleep usually with his body on the doggy bed and his head on the floor but always gets a little rolly polly when he has to get up and move. His little looks he gives with his floppy ears are fun to watch! *When was your foster(s) the happiest? What did that look like? He loves to roll around in his doggy bed. Videos on our YouTube Channel!! *Tell us any ways that your foster(s) grew, or anything learned while in your home. He will sit before we open the door to go out. He is easily redirected by saying “no” if he wanders into a room, he’s not supposed to be in. *Briefly describe your foster(s). What kind of home do you think your foster would blossom in? He LOVES attention, but he would be good with a laid-back family. He would also be good with someone who likes to run but not necessary. He did great walking on a leash, and I think he would be great for someone looking to have a little extra snuggles while also needing to feel like they have a little more protection at home. He learns new things and routines quickly! Daario's date of birth is 4/9/2019 and he weighs 66 pounds. ***SINCE WE ARE UNABLE TO DO A MEET AND GREET WITH OTHER DOGS, WE RECOMMEND DAARIO BEING THE ONLY DOG*** All our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95. This fee includes: • Extensive medical health check by a licensed veterinarian • Up to date on all vaccinations and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention • Spayed/Neutered • Microchipped Our goal is to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. Because we care about our rescues and their future, some animals have certain new family requirements before they can be released to their new home. Requirements for adoption could include the following: • Fenced yard. We will ask for a video that shows the entire fence so that we can verify that there are no holes or gaps where the dog could escape. (We do not accept invisible fences.) • Veterinary reference for previous and current pet owners (must be/have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention) We will call your current/previous veterinarian to verify that you have a history of providing vaccinations and heartworm prevention for your animal(s). • If no previous veterinary history, purchase of a 3 month supply of heartworm prevention from our vet. • If renting, verification with the Landlord on acceptability of pets and any restrictions. If you are interested in adopting one our rescues, please complete our Online Adoption Application at http://www.fayettefcar.com/animals.
