My Story

Meet Daisy! A spirited three-year-old American Pitbull Terrier and Boxer mix from Louisville, KY, whose vibrant energy is matched only by her loyalty and love for those she holds dear. Draped in a striking white coat with distinctive black patches, Daisy is a stunning companion ready to bring joy and companionship to a home that understands her unique needs. Daisy's journey has been one of resilience, and she's come out stronger on the other side. Despite a challenging start, she’s blossomed into a loving and playful dog, full of zest for life! Whether she’s bounding through the yard, enjoying a Kong toy, or eagerly heading out for a long evening walk, Daisy's high energy is infectious. She's happiest when she’s by your side, walking confidently on her gentle leader or snuggling close in the evenings before she settles in for the night. Her intelligence shines through in her ability to follow commands like sit, stay, and lay, and she’s fully potty trained. Daisy is also crate-trained and thrives in a structured environment. She has a soft spot for children, making her a wonderful family companion for those who can match her energetic spirit. Daisy’s protective nature is a double-edged sword. She’s fiercely loyal to her loved ones but can be territorial when it comes to new people or unfamiliar dogs. She requires careful introductions to new friends, preferably outside, where she feels less need to guard her home. Dog parks, once a place of joy for her, are no longer suitable due to her strong-willed demeanor. Daisy has had some challenging moments with other dogs, particularly when they’ve displayed aggression toward her, and she has, unfortunately, been involved in a couple of incidents with people during these tense situations. As a result, Daisy needs a home with a guardian who is patient, experienced, and understands the importance of positive reinforcement and slow introductions. To make sure that Daisy has a great start with her new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation. Daisy is not just a dog; she’s a loyal companion waiting for a home where her strengths are appreciated and her quirks are managed with love and understanding. A fenced yard where she can safely explore and an adoptive family with the time and energy to invest in her well-being are just what she needs. Could you be the one to give Daisy the forever home she needs? If you're interested in providing Daisy with a loving home, please email [email protected] for more information on adopting her! Please note that Daisy will remain with her current family until a suitable new home is found for her. Also, Daisy is open to a long-distance adoption—love knows no distance when finding your perfect companion!
