My Story

**This is a courtesy post for a Milwaukee adoptable dog in the care of a private local rescuer. Daisy the Pibble is not in the care of Rey of Hope Rescue, but her rescuer has reached out to us asking for help to spread the word. Daisy is searching for a loving retirement home and is available for out-of-state adopters willing to travel.** Meet Daisy, who her rescuer lovingly calls Doozle. She is 67lb, crate trained, house trained, does well at the vet, rides nicely in the car, and gets SO excited to go for a short stroll. She was dumped on a county road surrounded by acres of farm fields. The vets estimate her age to be between 6-9 years old and she's had multiple litters of puppies. Her care was neglected for years but she is now thriving after extensive medical interventions over the last few months in her foster home. She is now spayed, she had a comprehensive dental procedure and she recently underwent foot surgery for an old toe injury. To help her keep living her best life she will need an adopter willing to commit to reasonably priced monthly arthritis and allergy medications. The great news is that she takes pills like a champ. She loves her food and treats which helps with training. Daisy is just an all around happy and enthusiastic dog who likes all people. She lives with and loves kids! Daisy should not live with cats. She has done well with some submissive dogs, but we feel she is best matched with a pet-free home since she's likely spent most of her life under socialized. Daisy is strong in will and stature and needs a strong, confident handler. Daisy is a wonderful companion to hang out in the garage with you while you work, enjoy a few slow neighborhood strolls and then return to the sunniest part of the house for another nap. She demands payment for her good company in belly rubs. Rey of Hope Rescue is not involved with this adoption or the care of this animal, nor are we facilitating the terms of any adoption agreements related to Daisy the Pibble. Please email [email protected] to express interest and we will connect serious inquiries to Daisy’s private rescuer who lives in SE Wisconsin.
