Dakota has been with her family for 7 years, but changes in recent years have made home a little stressful for her. Dakota has struggled to adjust to the arrival of a young child (now a 19-month-old toddler) and is not getting along with the other female dog in the household. While Dakota is friendly and affectionate with humans, she has shown aggression toward other dogs. Dakota would do best in a home where she is the only pet and can receive the undivided attention she deserves. Dakota is protective but loving and would thrive in an adult-only household where she can feel secure. Despite being 8 years old, Dakota is an energetic and playful dog. She loves to play fetch, and her favorite game is with the Chuck-it in the mornings. She enjoys 15-minute walks around the neighborhood but would happily walks for hours if given the chance.
