My Story

Meet Dakota! Dakota is a sweet, fun-loving pup looking for her forever home. She is on a mission to find a family ready to provide love, guidance, and plenty of belly rubs so she can grow into the best companion. Dakota loves her toys, chowing down on tasty treats, and soaking up all the affection from her foster family. Since she's expected to be a bigger girl, her future family should be ready for lots of love, laughter, and maybe a little clumsy shepherd charm. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick for life's adventures, apply today for Dakota! We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email [email protected] with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
