Meet Dasher! Dasher—affectionately known as Dasha—is a sweet and timid 5-month-old hound mix girl looking for a patient and loving forever home. Weighing 18 pounds, she’ll likely grow into a medium-sized dog with a big heart! Dasha loves playing with her littermate, Rudolph (Rudy) and is always up for some fun with her favorite toys. She’s curious about the bigger dogs in her foster home and wants to join in the fun—but when things get a little overwhelming, she seeks reassurance from her foster mom. She enjoys going for walks but can be a bit shy and fearful in new situations. With gentle guidance and encouragement, she’s learning to build confidence and trust in the world around her. Dasha currently lives with her littermate, Rudolph (Rudy), along with two other dogs and six cats. She does great with the cats—though she’d love it if they played with her too! This smart pup is already crate-trained and knows “sit.” She’ll even trot into her crate when she hears, “Do you want to eat?” or “Time for night-night.” She’s mostly potty trained but still has occasional accidents as she continues learning. Dasha would do best in a home with a patient adopter who will help her continue to grow at her own pace. A friendly, confident dog sibling would be ideal to help show her the ropes!
