Davinia (A135718) is a 9-month-old GSD x Husky mix who weighed 36.1 pounds on intake! 09/03/24 This beautiful young lady is Davinia aka Davi! Davi was surrendered to the shelter with incomplete paperwork so she was initially held as a stray. Now she is happily awaiting to find her new place to call home! She is a young dog with a lot of potential and is eagerly waiting someone to show her the way! Davi would highly benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on her manners! She has done well at keeping her kennel accident-free, but we do not know if she is fully housebroken; she may need reminders and continued training as she settles into her new home. Davis was initially pretty timid towards the dogs in the kennels near her, but we have seen her warmup and initiate play through the fence. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with any and all new potential friends. She has started to become mouthier towards staff as her confidence has grown, and she is looking for an owner who can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated and out of trouble! She may do best in a home without small kiddos as she learns to be on her best behavior. Ultimately, she is a very sweet girl and we are sure in the right home that she will thrive!
