Meet Dax! Dax is a male, 2 year old, Australian Shepherd mix. He is 64 pounds. Dax arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender. He is described as a super playful and friendly pup! He is active, and loves attention. He is a bit shy of new people, and prefers to approach people, rather than people approach him. He will need some time to warm up and decompress in his new forever home. Dax will greatly benefit from training and socialization! He is a cute boy who is ready to go home! Dax will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats. Dax is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today! The shelter is currently open by appointment only.
