Meet the 9 Hurricane pups! Hound/boxer mixes? From georgia! Born 8/20/2024 6 out of 9 have naturally docked tails! From our souther partner rescue! “This is Ireland. (Last photo) She is mama to the nine hurricane babies. The lady who surrendered her said she was a stray even though she had been feeding her for one year and never even thought of reaching out for help for her or to get her spayed. I took her into care and two days later she birthed nine beautiful babies. At 7 weeks old Hurricane Helene hit us pretty hard here I'm GA. And winds reached almost 100 miles per hour with so much destruction everywhere. We rode it out and kept them safe and we're so fortunate to have no fatalities here at the shelter. At 8 weeks old I'm order to have room to save another litter of a mom and five 3 day old babies in a high kill shelter we sent them into our local prison program where they were loved, bathed, played with and even slept with their trainers there. We decide to name them hurricane names of 2024 and the inmates who cared for them got to name them Mama Ireland is a very young girl about to be spayed and hopefully also coming North to find her forever home. These nine hurricane babies are the sweetest, cutest little munchkins and will bring their new families so much unconditional love and companionship. We are so very thankful for our northern adopters and the lives they give to our throw away babies here in Ga.
