Del Rey was part of a litter of puppies surrendered to a rural shelter in south Texas. He became sick with Distemper and was left to die while his healthy siblings were taken in by a rescue. A local rescuer refused to give up on him and against all odds, brought him back from the brink of death! He developed a minor head tremor as a result of nerve damage, but is otherwise healthy and happy.
Del Rey is now 2 years old (it has been one year since he recovered from Distemper). He's a very sweet boy who's grateful for the simplest things, like a meal and a kind word. He enjoys being around people and other dogs, and brings a certain Zen energy wherever he goes.
