Meet Dennie The Sweetest Couch Cuddler! Say hello to our "Southern Gentleman"! Dennie is a laid-back, 2-year-old Frenchie who joined us all the way from a California shelter This handsome guy joined the Freedom Squad after being rescued from a Southern California shelter where he was unfairly labeled as aggressive and was scheduled for euthanasia. Dennie is as sweet as can behe just needed a chance to show his true colors. About Dennie: Temperament: Calm, friendly, and social. Dennie gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with his foster siblings. Training: Mostly potty trained. Comfortable sleeping in a crate at night but prefers to be near his humans. Knows basic commands and is super food-motivated. Favorite Activities: Sniffing every crack and crevice outdoors. Learning to play with toys by watching his foster siblings. Cuddling on the couch (and letting out a few, um, Frenchie farts). Belly rubshis soft fur makes it even more rewarding! Health & Care Needs: Allergies: Mild and manageable with a good diet and regular cleaning, of ears, wrinkles, and paws. He shows no major medical currently and his congestion is completely gone. Doc says he looks great and healthy. Dennie is better with slow introductions to fur family members like any rescue being brought into the home the 3-3-3 rule applies. He transitions really well to new places and is a great traveler. Personality: Dennie is a sweet, curious boy whos starting to discover the joys of being a loved companion. Hes perfect for someone who wants a snuggly sidekick who also enjoys a bit of playful outdoor exploration. This guy is curious to new things and love to sniff every crack and crevice. Since being neutered he is learning that hiking on every corner of furniture is not allowed. After a few days of decompression, he loves playing with his fur friends and is more submissive avoiding any confrontation with his foster siblings. Dennie is great with kids not tested on cats. In our opinion with his demeanor he could probably care less about cats. Hes natural at getting along with other dogs, even those with alpha tendencieshe simply turns away with grace and those impeccable manners of his. He adores kids and is always curious to snuggle up with them during movie time. Hes doing fantastic with potty training outside (he loves grass and even rocks!). Plus, his foster family has a pool, and hes perfectly content staying away from itgreat news for any future family!
