My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Deno is a sweet and gentle 3-year-old Cairn Terrier/Mini Poodle mix looking for a loving home where he can truly shine. While he may be shy at first, once he learns to trust you, he'll become your devoted shadow. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate lap dog, Deno is your perfect match! Deno is leash-trained, great in the car, and loves other dogs. He's picked up on potty training quickly by watching his foster siblings and is eager to please. His favorite place to be? Curled up in your lap or snuggling close at night. He's a calm and gentle pup, but don't be fooled-after coming inside from playtime, he'll have you laughing as he zooms around you with excitement. Because he tends to be shyer initially, Deno will need a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and trust. But once he feels safe, he will reward you with endless love, snuggles, and companionship. If you're ready to give this sweet boy the time and care he deserves, Deno will be the most loyal and loving addition to your home. Deno is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 03/08/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 4:30 & 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start's adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
