Dewey is male, 10-week-old(as of 11/25/2024)Australian Shepherd/ Doberman(? best guess) mix that is one of three pups abandoned in a Yakima Valley hop field and found by a Good Sam. He's a handsome, tricolored, short haired pup with light green eyes. He may grow to be a medium to large dog, he is just 15lbs now. He is curious, fun and sweet. He's ready to learn all good dog behavior and become a wonderful companion dog. If you have the time and energy for this precious guy, please fill out an application at yvpr.org/adoptions. A prepaid alteration receipt will be necessary to adopt. All adoption information is on our adoption webpage yvpr.org/adoptions An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator. If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
