My Story

Meet Disco – A Sweet, Cuddly, and Energetic 2-Year-Old Puggle Looking for His Forever Home! Disco is an adorable male puggle with a love for cuddles and playing fetch with his favorite ball. This adorable little guy is energetic, active, and loves his outdoor walks and playtime. Before joining GMPR, Disco had a rough patch. He was involved in a dog fight where he was bitten by another dog, and during the chaotic separation, he bit a shelter worker. This was understandable given the situation. There was another instance where he showed some aggression during feeding time when multiple pets were around, which his previous owner attributed to anxiety related to having other pets in the home. Since coming into our care, Disco has been fostered with other dogs and has shown no signs of aggression. He’s a foodie at heart, and with good practice, he's fed separately from other pets in his foster home—no issues to date. He respects the dominant female in the house and allows her to rule the roost. He happily shares his toys and even enjoys a good game of tug-o-war. Disco is housebroken and knows how to communicate when he needs to go out, and his foster mom reports no accidents in the home. Disco thrives in a calm and structured environment. He can get nervous in new surroundings, but with a patient, dog-savvy owner who understands how to help him adjust, Disco settles in beautifully. He interacts well with children but would do best in a home with kids over the age of 10. Although he prefers not to be picked up until he trusts you (again, always good practice), but once he does trust you Disco is all about love and attention. We believe that, like most dogs, Disco’s behavior is greatly influenced by his environment. In his current foster home, which is quiet and has a steady routine, he’s been an absolute joy. He would do well in a home with another calm but playful companion, or he can be the only pet. A quieter household with experienced caregivers would provide the stability and support Disco needs for a successful transition. Disco is a wonderful dog who just needs the right environment. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion and think your home could be the right fit for Disco, please submit an adoption application. Disco's adoption fee is $500.
