She’s the perfect balance of playful energy and snuggly sweetness, and she’s got a heart full of gratitude for the second chance she’s been given. Dixie’s journey hasn’t been easy—she was hit by a car, which led to the amputation of her left hind leg. But don’t let that fool you—Dixie is unstoppable! Her spirit is unbreakable, and she’s just as playful as any dog you’ll meet, always ready for a game of fetch! When she’s not playing, Dixie is a professional snuggler. She loves cuddling on the couch with a good chew toy, and she might even sneak under the blanket for an extra cozy nap. She’s down to cuddle with anyone and everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and cats alike—and has a special talent for making people feel loved with her sweet kisses and gentle affection. Dixie is crate trained, house trained, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. She’s food motivated, which makes her a quick learner. She already knows commands like “sit,” “come,” and “kennel,” (go in her crate) and is always eager to show off her good manners. She also enjoys car rides, making her the perfect companion for any adventures you might have!
