My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPT ME Dixie is a sweet and spunky little lady. She gets little bursts of energy that don't last long, and she's not really into toys- at least the ones I've given her. She is fully house broken, and while she prefers to do her business outside (unless it's too cold ). Dixie reliably uses potty pads when she needs to go and she can't get outside. She does great with the cat in the home, has tried to play a little with her, but for the most part is content to give the cat her space, because the cat demands it. Dixie is a little finicky with food - there are certain kibbles she just won't touch. She also turns her nose up sometimes at the wet food initially, but can usually be encouraged to eat it if I hand feed her the first couple bites. She has been fighting an ear infection and has a follow up soon. She enjoys car rides, and likes to either ride in a dog bed or in your lap. She is about 50/50 in regards to preferring to snuggle vs preferring to cozy up in the human's bed by herself. The only time Dixie barks is when someone is at the door, so you'll never have a visitor without an alert!
