Dobby

Dobby is a big goofball who just loves people! He is a volunteer favorite - to meet him is to love him. This guy is sweet and friendly to everyone, kids included. He wants to give kisses to every person he meets, and be snuggled close to you at home. Dobby is SO EASY in the home! He is polite, housebroken, and knows a ton of commands. He will relax most of the day and is accustomed to being in a crate. When you come to let him out he smiles and wags his tail. As an "older" fella he does not need a ton of exercise and is happy to get walked. He's 5 years old and 69 pounds of affection (and maybe could stand to shed a few more). We suspect he is a Great Dane / terrier mix. Dobby enjoys playing. He especially loves tug of war and fetch - he'll bring the toy back to you and expect you to tug on it for a couple of seconds, but once you tell him "Leave it" he'll let go and start the game again. When playtime is over he has no problem calming down. He is very treat motivated and will do anything for a treat, but he has no food aggression, so he will take any size treat from your hand gently. He would love to sleep at the foot of your bed but he's perfectly happy in his own bed, especially if it's placed in front of a door or window. He can be dog selective so he is better as an only dog.
