Meet the one and only Dolly! Miss Dolly came to our rescue as an owner surrender. Her family was going to be traveling multiple times a month and did not wan to put her through multiple flights and didn’t want her to have to go to boarding every time they were gone. She’s estimated to be 10-12. Last owner had her for about 10 years. She’s sweet, cuddly and knows some commands. She’s potty trained and if you ask her if she needs to potty, she will twirl for you to let you know she has to go out! She also knows how to use a dog door. Dolly has such a sweet personality and is ready to find her retirement home. She gets along great with dogs, cats, children and used to live on a farm. On that farm she got along well with all sorts of farm animals: rabbits, chickens, horses etc. All of our seniors get a full work up upon entering our rescue. Dolly is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Our vet did find a grade 4 heart murmur on the left side. She will need to have heart meds the rest of her life. Our rescue paid about $200 for both meds but some are cheaper on chewy.com. If you’re interested in adopting Dolly, be aware of the long life commitment she will be financially. She will need those 2 meds and potentially a third one if she develops other symptoms. Dolly is fully of life and is a very happy girl despite her heart condition.
