Dory

Applicants must be within a one hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio We have a new girl in town! Dory! (Or Cupcake depending who you ask) Her history is unknown, but what we do know is that she was originally picked up by a good Samaritan on the streets of Cleveland a few weeks ago. They took her home with the intention of keeping her, but the other dog in the home wasn’t having it so they chose to rehome her. She was then given to what seemed like a nice family only to be found as a stray 24 hrs later and picked up by the Willowick Police Department. Once her original finder found out she went to the police department to reclaim her and surrendered her to us so we could get her vetted and find her an appropriate home. She’s a sweet and loving girl. She is nervous around new people at first, but comes around very fast. Given her history, she really doesn’t have a reason to trust anyone so she can be a little insecure. Since she is young, we feel that in a stable consistent home she will be perfectly fine. She clings to her foster mom and loves to play with her foster sister. She’s very active and loves to play outside and also play with toys. She is not completely housebroken, but she is working on it. We have no idea what her breed is, but we’re guessing maybe a beagle mix or something. She currently weighs 13 pounds and we don’t anticipate her growing up to be a huge dog. Maybe small to medium sized. ***Fully fenced yard required*** Dory is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly preventatives.
