Meet DUKE !
He is a 1 to 2 year old Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix that was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He has been fostered with another buddy from the shelter. His buddy found a wonderful family and now its DUKE’s turn to find his. He loves people and aims to please. He is working on potty training and is doing very well…maybe because he still squats like a puppy and doesn’t mark his territory like most male dogs. He is crate trained and has been living in a home with adults, children and other dogs. He has not been around cats, so he cannot be adopted into a home with kitties. DUKE knows the command “sit”, walks great on leash and he absolutely loves to cuddle!

For out-of-state adoptions:
DUKE's adoption fee is $500 (which includes transport) which includes his neuter surgery, current vaccinations (rabies, 2 parvo/distemper boosters, and bordatella), flea and tick prevention, negative heartworm test, negative fecal, health certificate, and registered microchip.
He is available through Levelland Animal Friends, a partner rescue of Project Freedom Ride. Levelland Animal Friends is located in the Texas Panhandle. He is located with our rescue here in Texas.
He would be transported on one of the PFR transports to the following locations:

As a Project Freedom Ride direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet would take place on video call (usually through Facetime or other video formats). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
