Oh my heck are we obsessed with this little girl! There is not one bad thing that I can say about Ebony Baby. She really does check off all of the boxes and she is absolutely adorable. When you meet Ebony Baby you're instantly noticing that she has the type of face that makes you almost get that uncontrollable urge to squeeze her squishy little face, as if her cuteness is to much for your heart to handle --- like your love for her is just bursting out in an adorable, squishy explosion! I don't know what we love more; her adorable personality, those big brown puppy dog eyes, or that cute little underbite snaggletooth she has.

Ebony is a lab pittie mix approximately 10 months old and currently weighs 49 lbs but she's a wittle baby that you can scoop up and smooch all day long. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
Ebony Baby is very dog friendly and makes friends everywhere she goes. She has been in multiple play groups with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and she has the time of her life. She has a more gentle play style and loves to romp around with the other dogs, occasionally engaging a gentle wrestling match, and then enjoying those calmer moments as well. One of her favorite games to play is chase, she loves running as fast as she can and enjoys when her doggy friends are running along side with her. Ebony is so great with other dogs that she even has potential of being a doggy day care pup and it would be easy to integrate her into any home with other dogs. She has also been around dogs way smaller than her, approximately 12 lbs and Ebony was so gentle and respectful around them. She is great at sharing treats with other dogs and also affection. We would love to see Ebony go to a home with another moderately play pup that has a similar play style as her that will want to romp around in the back yard and also a pup that enjoys those calmer relaxing moments as well. Another thing that Ebony did really well with was when she saw a donkey! She was curious and a brave girl going up to it to investigate as she has probably never seen one before. She never once barked or acted like she wanted to chase it, she was more timid and unsure if anything. There were even a few moments where the donkey would stomp on the ground or make those loud donkey howler noises and she would retreat. If you have neighbors that have cows, horses, donkey's or other large livestock animals, we believe Ebony would be a great dog for you because she is not going to cause chaos around them, bark at them, or try to chase them.
Ebony is kid friendly and would make a great addition to a family with older kids. She has been around kids ages 7 and 13 and was most comfortable around the teenager. Ebony has shown nothing but gentleness around young children, we do believe she would do better in a home with older kids 12+ in a quieter, calmer household. If you have grandchildren or have friends that have young children that come and visit, Ebony will totally fine with that! She will love the company. Ebony would also be a great dog for someone who works from home because she is so quiet and laid back. We actually have had her in our office while working and she was never getting into anything that she wasn't suppose to be, never had any accidents, and was just happy to be in our presence. She loved hanging out on the couch too with a man she had never met before while he was there for an interview.
Ebony has a perfectly balanced energy making her a great companion to take with you on leisurely walks throughout the neighborhood and then snuggle with you on the couch after. She walks well on a leash and hardly ever pulls. Ebony is treat motivated and she already knows how to sit. She is also crate trained and potty trained as well. She really is a gentle perfect little lady. We are willing to test Ebony Baby with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescues hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
