Edna is Still Waiting for Her Forever Home! ? If you’ve ever wanted your very own little Ewok, Edna might just be the girl for you! But fair warning—this spicy little lady comes with a strong personality and needs a very particular home. Edna acts like she hates the world and is not a fan of physical touch, but if she chooses you as her human, she’ll be the most loyal companion you could ask for. She has a special bond with my mom, allowing pets, belly rubs, and even cuddles—but only from her. For everyone else? Well, let’s just say Edna has her own way of showing her feelings, and it’s not always polite. When Edna first came to us, she was completely shut down and had clearly been abused. It took over a month for her to let anyone near her, and even then, she wasn’t afraid to let you know if you crossed her boundaries (sometimes with her teeth). After months of patience and trust-building, she now lets me interact with her, though she still has her moments. Edna might randomly decide to bite my feet, just to remind me who’s boss. If you’re lucky enough to become her chosen human, Edna will transform into a teddy bear—just for you. But here’s the catch: Edna does like other dogs unless my mom is around, so she’d do best as the only dog in the house. Cats are fine, though, and she’s indifferent to them. Edna is a lazy girl who loves her short walks around the block—they’re the highlight of her day. But no kids—EVER—unless you want to risk some missing fingers. She gets stressed easily and really just needs a homebody who enjoys lounging around with no company. Respect her space, and you’ll have a fiercely loyal friend for life. Edna has been with us for over a year now. We were only supposed to contain her for a rescue, but they never came back for her, and now she’s part of our lives.
