My Story

Foster Location: Boise ID Age: 2 yrs approx Breed: Lab Mix Neutered, Vaccinated, microchipped Adoption fee: $75.00 + $17.99 microchip registration fee DO NOT email us, you must fill out an application if interested: Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Elijah came to Fuzzy Pawz from another shelter in Texas at around 1-3 years old and only about 37 lbs. This mixed breed dog is an absolute sweetheart. He wasted no time snuggling up on the couch with his foster parents. With the help of his foster fur brother he has gained a lot of confidence but still needs a proper introduction to humans and pets. We have found this is best done while on a leash and then he is quick to come in with kisses and snuggles. He gets along very well with cats and is also crate trained. Elijah has a slight deformity on his front paw but we don’t think he even knows. His favorite game is extreme chase, parkour edition, around the living room with his foster brother. His small stature makes him very agile and he can leap over the couch with little effort which provides lots of entertainment for his foster family. If he goes too hard he sometimes shows signs of being a little sore but it’s nothing that a long nap doesn’t resolve. This little guy is the ultimate low maintenance dog with a short coat and his frequent naps. He will gladly spend the day snuggled on the couch or in bed. He walks well on a leash but most of his exercise is done playing chase and wrestling with his brother. While he wont be suited for hiking or long walks, he really enjoys short ones or exploring a park with his nose. Elijah knows basic commands and could really benefit from enrichment activities and continued training. His ideal home would include a confident, well adjusted dog that will play with him to keep him active and help build his confidence. He really just wants a life-long best friend, with or without fur.
