Meet Ellie! She is a 5 year old, 3 legged pittie/staffy mix ready to find her perfect forever home.
Day to day Ellie lives a typical, happy dog life! She gets around great on three legs! Many don't even realize she is three legged.
Ellie is such an affectionate girl and is friendly with people and kids! She currently lives with a 3 year old and does great`! She loves her humans and will follow them around the house but also understands boundaries. She'll happily listen to you if she's told to go to bed. She is a fairly lazy dog but does like to play fetch and tug of war. She is very well mannered and knows many commands.
She is fully house broke and kennel trained. She is also trained not to get on the furniture unless invited. She doesn't get along with other doggos and would be best in as the only dog in a home. As she currently is in a home with another dog, she does take daily antianxiety medication but we hope in a new, lower stress animal environment she can be weaned off of them. She also takes occasional allergy medication and medicated shampoo. However, no special diet is needed. She can be reactive to dogs on the other side of a fence. She has been assessed by a trainer who had some great tips and short trainings each day to to help with reducing dog reactivity that her foster will be able to share with any potential adopter to set them up for success!
