Elvis

Elvis was often found roaming the streets in North County St. Louis. He was finally picked up and impounded at animal control. His owner is elderly and suffering from dementia. The care takers did not want the responsibility of caring for his dogs and would often just let them loose. Elvis is a sweet and lovable older beagle, who is very well mannered and easy to care for. The shelter doctor says Elvis is approximately eight years old but we feel a more accurate age is 9-10 years old. Elvis loves naps and is a total couch potato. He still has a lot of pep in his step and is most happy when it’s meal time and will happy dance for food. He is house trained and also crate trained but prefers the couch, or a nice comfy bed. He does well with dogs and cats. Elvis was introduced to a dog savvy toddler and did well. He can be a bit shy and won’t likely do well with rambunctious kids that will not respect his space. Elvis’ adoption fee is $150. This includes vaccinations, neuter, microchip, heartworm test, wormer and maintaining preventions while in our care.
