My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Emma is a mild-mannered German Shepherd puppy. She is still timid but is warming up slowly in her foster home. She frequently comes up for morning snuggles with her foster mom and is always so excited to see her in the morning. She is mostly quiet unless she is scared and then she will growl or bark. Her sister, Maeve is in her foster home with her and Maeve currently takes on the dominant role between the two of them. Emma loves to be outside to run and play now that she is not having any pain from her HOD, hypertrophic osteodystrophy. She is on an anti-inflammatory that has kept the pain away. Since the condition was found so early (4 months old), it is expected that she will not have any long-term effects as long as any symptoms are managed. Emma is very lucky that she responded so well to the anti-inflammatory! Emma loves to lay with one of the older female dogs at her foster home and frequently seeks her out to snuggle. She likes to chew on bones and is always excited for mealtime. She walks well on a leash, is crate and potty trained. She knows basic commands but is still a learning puppy. She is food motivated so will learn quickly once she has more attention on just her. She is not destructive and has just chewed on the toys that are for the dogs, but will occasionally steal socks, slippers, shirts or the towels from the kitchen and lay with them. Emma will make an amazing member of your family! Emma is a mild-mannered German Shepherd puppy. She is still timid but is warming up slowly in her foster home.
