Breed: Staffie/Boxer Mix (We think- it is truly a guess) Age: 2 years old Adoption Fee: $300 Emma is a SWEET Staffie/Boxer mix weighing about 35 pounds currently (she is still putting on some weight) at about 2 years old! Emma was brought into the shelter in Steger, IL in pretty rough shape. Though she is working through skin issues (presumably brought on by allergies but still determining), we would love to get her into a foster home to continue the much-needed TLC she deserves rather than sitting in a kennel environment. Regardless of the fact that Emma has gone and is currently going through so much, Emma's temperament is UNMATCHED as she is GREAT with other dogs, kiddos, AND cats! This loving girl is just looking for a soft place to recover rather than the hard shelter floors. If you're not quite ready to adopt and are just casually looking at furebabies, consider fostering in the meantime! Emma is available for foster or adoption through Ruby Whiskers Animal Rescue. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Unless the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will only consider applications that are within 1 hour or 40 miles of Lemont, IL. This is due to the required vetting at our partner veterinarians. If the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will allow adoptions out of state or outside of our 1 hour or 40 mile restriction. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within five days of approval.
