Ester

Meet Ester! Ester came to ERAS after she was found running in East Ridge over by the tunnels. Ester is a Black Mouth Cur mix weighing around 50lbs! We estimate Ester's age to be around 10 years old. Today marks a very special day for Ester, she has officially been with us for 365 days. Since Ester is a senior, she gets a little over looked. In August of 2024, a very kind soul decided to foster her to get her out of the shelter environment, and give her a bunch of love until she finds her forever home! Ester is a very easy dog, all she wants is love and some occasional treats. She is VERY treat motivated. Ester is very welcoming to everyone she meets, greeting them with her famous wiggle butt. She is house and crate trained! Here is some information from her wonderful foster family---"Ester is a good eater and doesn't overeat, you can leave out her food for the day and she paces it out. Ester is a very smart girl, she will even lead you to where her treats are stored! Ester is obsessed with laser pointers, but you have to be careful as she does have arthritis. She hates being outside and really only wants to be out there to do her business or if you are hanging out outside. I will say it does depend on the dog if she will get along with them. Does not like dogs that jump or bark at us. She will chase a cat in the backyard but doesn’t care about them in a house. She wants to be in the same room with you, except the bathroom because she has learned that’s where she gets a bath!" Ester is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all her shots, and heartworm negative!
