My Story

sweet shy mama seeking love and safety! FAITH NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Faith Best Guess for Breed: Jack Russell terrier and Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of November 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 18 lbs Gets Along With: Faith does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen her with cats but she can be tested if you have them. We would be cautious placing Faith in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here. Special adoption considerations: Because Faith is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Faith is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet mama and her older pups Mac and Tina arrived in the shelter through no fault of their own. Faith wants nothing more than to walk through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. Right now, though, she's confused and scared, and doesn't have enough experience in new settings. She's looking for extra loving and patient adopters who will show her the world at her pace and a welcoming resident dog who will show her how to dog. Faith is a young girl and has so much to see and do. She's got so many adoring gazes and little tail wags, so much loyalty and love in her for her new humans. What do you say? Does she get to see the world with you? Do you get all the love she has to offer? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
