My Story

Feta's story begins on a roadside in South Korea, where she was found as a newborn puppy alongside her mother and littermate. The first six months of her life unfolded in a Korean shelter before fate carried her across the ocean to the United States in search of a permanent home. Now at 16 months old, this striking 45-pound Jindo mix carries herself with quiet dignity. She observes the world with intelligent eyes that miss very little. At home, Feta takes her role as watchful companion seriously, offering alert barks when something seems amiss, but quickly settling when reassured by her trusted humans. Feta approaches life with measured energy. She thrives on daily walks and comes alive during snowy adventures- she bounds and pounces in the snow. Yet she also understands the rhythm of everyday life, contentedly entertaining herself while her people work, occasionally nudging a hand for attention before returning to her comfortable spot nearby. Through professional training at No Monkey Business, Feta has developed impressive obedience skills. She responds well to commands and demonstrates her intelligence daily. Her medical needs are straightforward, with regular care at Bedford Veterinary Center and a modest $10 monthly investment in anti-anxiety medication that has made a remarkable difference in her confidence. While Feta forms deep bonds with her people, her past has left her naturally wary of strangers, particularly men. She connects more readily with women and respectful children, approaching new relationships at her own thoughtful pace. This cautiousness isn't a flaw but simply part of who she is—a dog who values trust and gives her loyalty completely once it's earned. Currently staying with a foster family in New Hampshire, Feta spends her days hoping for someone who understands that the best relationships are built on patience and respect. She doesn't need constant attention, just the quiet understanding that she belongs. Could you be the one to write the next chapter of Feta's story?
