Fiona

? FIONA ? This girl is a gem of a dog at only ~9 months old. She has the softest fur, perfect for snuggles. She looks like a big dog with her fluffy fur, but weighs in at around 45 pounds (she's still growing!). Fiona came to us scared and nervous of new people, places, and all things big and loud. Her confidence has grown with the help of her foster dog siblings, and she continues to learn new things everyday. She is medium energy, spayed and UTD on all vaccines, crate trained, house broken, walks great on leash, is friendly with other dogs, is respectful of cats, and is easily directed away from chickens. She knows sit, shake, wait, leave it, and goes in her crate on command. She loves a good bone to chew when it's time to relax, but that doesn't stop her from getting the zoomies when she's running free in the wide open. Does Fiona sound like the perfect dog for you? Let's make sure YOU are the perfect human for Fiona! Fiona's ideal human will be: Someone who can be with her most of the time and not leave her alone for extended periods of time on a regular basis. (Bonus points if you work from home! She does get a little anxious being left and will need to continue her crate training.) Someone who will continue to help her build confidence and teach her that not everything is scary, and also continue to give her a routine and boundaries. She is most confident and calm when she has a routine and boundaries. Fiona would love another dog in the home that has a similar energy level and style of play. Fiona loves to run and wrestle, so a younger dog would be best for her. Once she has had her exercise, she is happy to chew a bone in her crate, or lay at your feet and relax. Though the forest is a new place to Fiona, she adores being in the woods. She would love someone she can continue to explore and hike the beautiful woods of Vermont with, and practice trail manners and recall.
