Fiona

Fiona is a 1.5 year old French Bulldog who sadly spent her life so far in a puppy mill and more than likely had at least one litter. She is adjusting to her new-found freedom and learning to live in a home. Fiona's goofy personality is coming out… she loves small toys to play with, cannot figure out who that dog is in the reflection in the glass fireplace , and sits on the couch like she's eaten too much Christmas dinner. So far, Fiona does not do well in the crate, but she happily sleeps in bed between your legs at night and is okay while left out for short periods of time during the day. Fiona is nervous around people, but is very food motivated (which helps!) A patient and loving home is needed. Fiona is very attached to other dogs and leans on them for support and confidence, a furry friend is required in her forever home. Small people make her nervous and scared. If you have small children who come over to visit often she would not be a good fit at this time. A home with children over 10 could be okay with the right personality match. House training is new for her, and her new family should anticipate continued work in this area. She will occasionally use a puppy pad inside. She is gaining confidence to go outside on her own but patience is key and understanding it will take time for her to be fully house broken. We praise her when she goes outside and she will walk outside for treats. Fiona is not yet confidence on a leash, and is timid with new things, so a fully fenced and secured yard is a must. We are working on having a harness on and leash training. Fiona is a sweet girl learning the world isn't such a bad place. She will make an incredible companion for a person or couple looking for their own Frenchie princess.
