My Story

Foxy and her siblings were taken to the shelter by their former owner because he no longer wanted them. 2 of the 7 were adopted quickly and the others were scheduled to be euthanized due to a lack of space at the shelter. The day they were going to be euthanized, the shelter asked one of our volunteers for help. She only had room for one, so she saved Foxy. We don’t know how anyone could abandon this sweet girl, and we are happy that we were able to give her a chance for a better life. Foxy is being fostered with other dogs of various ages and sizes. She gets along great with all of them and loves to play. Her foster also has cats in the house, and she does great with them too. Foxy is also great with kids. She has been with children ages 1 to 16, and she loved them all. Foxy loves to go on walks, swim, go for car rides and she does great in pet friendly stores. After your walk, Foxy will snuggle up on the couch with you and watch Christmas movies. She is doing well learning manners sit and no jump. Foxy is leash trained, crate trained and house trained. Our vet estimates that she is 10-12 months old, and she weighs 38 pounds. She is full grown. Foxy has been spayed, vaccinated twice for DHPP, bordetella vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, microchipped and is current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. Foxy can arrive in the New York on 12/7.
